PEDAGOGY DICTATES TECHNOLOGY

Nowadays, technologies are being invented for many purposes. Some would say that is for educational purposes, household chores purposes, business purposes and many others. But the main purpose to all is to make life be comfortable, easy, fast and to adopt the modern times.
           
One reason why technology has been invented is because it is a tool for teaching and learning. Teachers must be well trained on how to use technology so that they can integrate it fully well. Since the teachers facilitate learning, they should develop among their students the modern skills which are the 21st century skills. These skills are very important for these serve as the gauge that authentic learning has taken place. These would transform the students to become a creative, critical and analytical thinker in a way that they could focused and actively involved in the search for information, solve a problem and to communicate others that would promote real learning. But it doesn’t mean that it is the technology that dictates the pedagogy. It is invented for a lot of purposes. It was just the learners who think that technology can be at used in education. It can be used as a medium of instruction. It is the educational technology that dictates the pedagogy. For the purpose of making our lives to be highly modernize, that is why technology is being invented and being used. In fact, teaching existed first without the technology. So we could say that it is still independent to technology.
            On the other hand, educational technology is also a big help in teaching. Its main purpose is to use the technology available in school to have a very effective learning. Its not merely for something else but only for educational purposes. Instructional materials are tools to facilitate teaching and learning and they should be used in relation to the basic principles of effective teaching and learning or I acquiring the knowledge you need.
           
This is how educational technology is. To attain learning fully well, if possible, make use of the gadgets available in school but with proper guidance of the teachers.
